You've been chosen to lead a mission to establish the first human settlement on Mars. What three values would you prioritise in building this new society, and how would you ensure these values are upheld as the community grows?

As we all are living in 21st century, it is not wrong to have a mindset to settle on mars. If I have been chosen to lead a mission to establish the first human settlement on mars. I would prioritise 3 crucial values in building this new society. My values will be resilience, cooperation and perseverance.

Resilience, it is ability to take a positive perspective on difficult situation and bounce back from challenging phases. In 8th grade, I failed in mathematics half yearly exam. I was heartbroken however I knew that it was opportunity for me to bounce back stronger and focus on my studies. From then on, I was persistence in learning. As many people says we achieve what we work hard on, during my annual result I was 4th position from my class.

Cooperation, the ability of individuals to communicate, work together effectively in personal relationships and understanding. During last year summer vacation, my friends and I created an Awareness campaign, on Health, Hygiene and Scabies disease. Our presentation was suitable for monks. We have 5 people when we first initiated it, and I was one of the leading members. Our power of cooperation made our work very successful that our subject teachers were proud and so does the principal of those schools where we taught monks.

Perseverance, the collective hard work and determination of individual within a society to overcome challenges and pursue common goals. As a house captain of two different schools, I had always carried responsibilities along with tough situations. When I pursue students to participate in activities, they always unpleasantly say things which sometimes hurts me deeply. However, I handle it as an innocence act of theirs as they don’t know the importance of active participation.

Ultimately, I would ensure these values are upheld as the community grows by clear communication, which will help them to understand things better. I would use my personal experience as an example to all. I would conclude it with a quote, "People may doubt what you say, but they will always believe what you do."
